Victor Antillanca

Director, Cinematographer, and Editor

Victor Antillanca is a Chilean-born filmmaker, editor, and director of photography based in Los Angeles. With over a decade of experience in documentary film and television, Victor is known for his visually arresting work and a distinctive editorial approach that blends rhythm, emotion, and cultural depth.

He is the creator of We Are Latinos, a nationally televised documentary series recognized for its bold cinematography and powerful editing—an approach that sets his work apart in both visual fluency and emotional pacing. Victor’s films explore themes of immigration, identity, and memory, often centering the lived experiences of Latino communities, immigrants, and working-class families.

From the streets of Santiago to the cultural intersections of Mexico City, Kansas City, and L.A., Victor’s journey has shaped a unique visual language—one that honors truth, builds empathy, and refuses to compromise storytelling for spectacle.

As the founder of VA-Films, he leads a team committed to creating socially driven documentaries that reach audiences through national broadcast, education, and grassroots platforms. His editing is as much a part of the storytelling as the lens itself—intuitive, layered, and emotionally precise.

His work is not just cinematic—it’s deeply human. And his mission is simple:

“To mark what might otherwise disappear.”
